💡 We are proud to highlight the initiatives carried out by ANRIMAC, a key partner of the SACRED project, actively implementing its activities in Tenerife. Through its local engagement, ANRIMAC is promoting awareness, education, and collaboration around dementia care and multimorbidity, bringing the project’s objectives directly into practice on the island. In this article, you get an overview of the latest activities performed.

Training future psychology professionals

In December 2025, ANRIMAC engaged 15 psychology professionals from the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology, with 12 students actively participating in the SACRED e-learning programme—helping to strengthen their readiness for real-life care challenges.

Introducing SACRED to nursing students

In February 2026, SACRED was presented to 20 nursing students, highlighting the importance of psychosocial approaches in healthcare and supporting their integration into academic training.

Engaging the wider professional community

Another element of the project meeting was the visit to local good practices in and around Valencia, allowing partners to connect theoretical concepts with real-life care settings.

The first visit took place at a residential care facility for older adults in Meliana, providing care and support for people living with dementia and multimorbidity. The second visit led the consortium to a Brain Injury Day Centre in the Ruzafa district, offering specialised, interdisciplinary support for people with acquired brain injury.

🙌 Throughout 2025–2026, ANRIMAC has built collaborations with universities, healthcare institutions, professional bodies, and private practices, including the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy, the University School of Nursing, and the Official College of Psychology of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The resulting E-Learning Platform will strengthen the competencies of formal caregivers and contribute to improving the quality of care for older adults across Europe. The platform is scheduled to be published in 2027.

Next steps and international outreach

Regarding future outreach, SACRED has been selected for presentation at the 27th Virtual Congress of Psychiatry and Psychology 2026, further expanding its international impact.
